A visit to Germany: Archive research

The result of a visit to the Schiedmayer company, from Monday till friday: 50 hours.

In my luggage to take home: 2370 photocopies.
Including:

22 Catalogs (with a number) Schiedmayer Pianofortefabrik, all Harmonium
21 items with no number (flyers, photos, Brochures, letters, catalogs

Added to that

23 Catalogs of other Harmoniumbuilders.

All of them (but one !) are originals:

Burger, Hinkel (2), Hofberg (3), Hörügel (2), Kotykiewicz, Liebig, Lindholm (2), Mannborg (3), Teck Harmoniumfabrik, Wißmann (4), Kasriel

Regarding the 3 Mannborgs: I have all three of them in my collection, however copied in black & white, while the Mannborg Kataloge are in COLOUR!

All catalogs mentioned in this message, are in the Schiedmayer Archive, and will remain there. They will become available in due time.

Also I bought the annual Reports of the Musterlager Stuttgart 1880-1914; 880 pages.


It now seems I will be busy scannen and analyzing for quite some time!
And negotiations with three other archives have been initialized too.
