CONCERT for Classical Guitar, Violoncello and Harmonium
Yesterday - on Saturday night (MARCH 21 2015) we have presented the musical instrument "Harmonium" to the public in our Church: "Lutherkirche Bad Harzburg".
It was a new step to make known the harmonium to the public. Great thanks to our student Johannes Festerling (classical guitar, 12th grade, Landschulheim Grovesmühle), he put together with his great commitment and his interesting arrangements a good music program this evening.
After the concert many people in the audience were interested to see our instruments. Even the harmonium by "Alexandre Pere et Fils" (Paris, 1900) was considered by many people curious.
I would say: the harmonium in our region (Hannover, Goslar, Bad Harzburg) was known again a little bit more for the music of the 19th and 20th century.
In our church in Bad Harzburg: are currently being excavated and restored historical decorative paintings (up to this time: with white colour on the walls by the sixty-years overrolled before). The Artist: Adolf Quensen, painter of this church-paintings (1903) matches perfectly with the sound of Sigfrid Karg-Elert - he composed his piece of music, that was composed in 1906. The proceeds from the concert went for the half for the next restoration-step of the art of Adolf Quensen and for the half to the musical work (musical projects) our school.
